About ICPC

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) began in 1970 as an initiative of the Alpha Chapter of the UPE Computer Science Honor Society to promote problem-solving skills in computing. Since the first championship round in 1977, the ICPC has evolved into a global competition, with universities around the world hosting regional rounds that qualify teams for the World Finals. Organized by the ICPC Foundation, the contest encourages creativity, teamwork, and innovation, challenging students to develop solutions under pressure and forming generations of leaders in computing.
